The old TV went kaput. I know jack-shit about TVs so I got the most reasonably priced Sony I could find. Any tech-savy Oppos know anything about it?

I’ve got a similar TV. Sony Bravia powered by Android TV. Fantastic choice.

Should’ve gotten a Vizio.

Sony’s are usually a little expensive but man they are beautiful and last a long time.
That’s a Bravia 4K too. Should be beautiful.

Make sure you flip that tv box inside out and make it not look like a tv box when you put it out for trash/recycling. Don’t want those scrooges breaking in!

Just found out the 37" JVC in the spare bedroom died, gonna pick up a tv when I’m in Oregon (no sales tax). I’ve looked at Walmart, Video Only, Amazon.. cheapest price seems to be Costco for a known/quality brand. $240

I too know jack about TVs. I recently purchased a Vizio 60" and returned it the very next day. Defective tuner..
Went straight to Best Buy and got a 40" Bravia “open box” and couldn’t be happier.

Unless of course, you intend on listening to whatever you’re watching. I swear Vizio uses iPhone 4 speakers for their sound. Of course, then you can buy a Vizio sound bar for $60 or so refurb. I had a sound bar for 4 years and it just died about a month ago. RIP.

Except they could care less when you TV dies a week after the warranty. So shitty customer service = never buying another one of their products.

Every Vizio TV I’ve had, the internal speakers were great. Even the one I’ve had for almost ten years. Still in perfect shape, by the way.

We have a Bravia. we had problems with the sound losing sync with the video and then cutting out completely. I had to go through a firmware update to fix it.
I guess I’m saying to check the firmware and make sure it is using the latest revision.
We bought a new tv with Roku built in. That has to be the best tv-related purchase we have made so far.

Hmm maybe I’m thinking of Seiko then.
